General Terms and Conditions – Tea Room De Proeverie, Bruchoc BV

2. Applicability 

These general terms and conditions apply to all reservations, orders, and services offered by Tea Room De Proeverie – Bruchoc BV, in particular online reservations for High Tea. By making a reservation, the customer agrees to these terms and conditions. 

 

3. Reservations 

· A reservation is only final after confirmation by Tea Room De Proeverie and after receipt of a (down) payment. 

· Tea Room De Proeverie reserves the right to refuse a reservation for justified reasons. 

 

4. Prices and Payment 

· All prices are stated in euros and include VAT. 

· Any advance payments will be clearly indicated at the time of reservation. 

· The remaining balance must be paid on-site, unless otherwise agreed. 

 

5. Gift Vouchers 

· If you wish to pay the remaining balance with a gift voucher, you must inform us in advance: 

o during the online reservation (via the designated option), or 

o upon arrival at the establishment 

· Gift vouchers are not redeemable for cash and must be used within their validity period. 

· Lost or expired vouchers will not be replaced. 

 

6. Changes and Cancellations 

· Changes or cancellations of a High Tea reservation must be communicated at least 48 hours before the scheduled time. 

· This must be done by phone between 10:00 and 18:00 at +32 50 33 08 87. 

· After this period, no cancellations or changes will be accepted. 

· In case of late cancellation or no-show, the paid deposit will be retained. 

 

7. No-Show 

· If the customer does not show up without timely cancellation, this is considered a no-show. 

· In such cases, the deposit will be fully retained and cannot be refunded. 

 

8. Arrival and Delay 

· Customers are requested to arrive on time. 

· In case of late arrival, the duration of the reservation may be shortened without any price reduction. 

· If the delay exceeds 30 minutes without notice, the reservation may be considered a no-show. 

 

9. Group Reservations 

Different conditions may apply to group reservations. These will be communicated in advance. 

 

10. Allergies and Dietary Requirements 

· Tea Room De Proeverie does not take dietary requirements into account. 

· Regarding allergies, only nut and fish allergies can be accommodated, provided they are communicated in advance. 

· No guarantees can be given for other allergies, and Tea Room De Proeverie cannot be held liable in such cases. 

· Cross-contamination can never be completely excluded. 

 

11. Liability 

· Tea Room De Proeverie is not liable for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings. 

· Liability is limited to the amount of the reservation, except in cases of intent or gross negligence. 

 

12. Force Majeure 

In cases of force majeure, Tea Room De Proeverie reserves the right to cancel or reschedule reservations without compensation. In such cases, an alternative or refund will be provided. 

 

13. Privacy 

Personal data is processed in accordance with applicable Belgian and European privacy legislation (GDPR). 

 

14. Complaints 

Complaints must be reported as soon as possible, preferably on-site or via proeverie@sukerbuyc.be. 

 

15. Applicable Law 

These terms and conditions are exclusively governed by Belgian law. Disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the competent courts of the Bruges district. 

 

16. Amendments 

Tea Room De Proeverie reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time.
